These Terms of Service (“Terms”) govern your use of the Meridane Trading LLC website at meridanetradingllc.com and any purchase you make from us. Please read them carefully. By browsing the site, creating an account, or placing an order, you agree to be bound by these Terms. If you do not agree, please do not use the site.

1. Who We Are

The website and online store at meridanetradingllc.com are owned and operated by Meridane Trading LLC, a limited liability company organized in the United States, with its business address at 2035 NW Wilson Street, Suite 4, Portland, OR 97210, United States. Meridane Trading LLC sells solid-wood and bamboo home goods online through this site. References to “we”, “us”, and “our” mean Meridane Trading LLC. References to “you” mean the person using the site or placing an order.

2. Eligibility and Accounts

You must be at least 18 years old, or the age of majority in your state, to place an order. When you create an account you agree to provide accurate information, to keep your password confidential, and to accept responsibility for all activity that happens under your account. Tell us immediately if you believe your account has been used without your permission. We may suspend or close an account that is used for fraud, abuse, or any breach of these Terms.

3. Products, Descriptions, and Natural Variation

We describe our products as accurately as we can. Because our goods are made from real wood, grain pattern, knot placement, color tone, and weight vary from piece to piece, and no two items are identical. Screen color rendering also differs between devices. This natural variation is part of the product and is not a defect. Dimensions are nominal and may vary slightly.

All products are subject to availability. We may change, limit, or discontinue any product at any time without notice, and we may limit the quantity of any item sold to a single customer or household.

4. Pricing and Payment

All prices are shown in United States dollars (USD). Sales tax, where we are required to collect it, is calculated on the shipping address and shown as a separate line at checkout before you pay. There are no other taxes, duties, or fees. Prices may change at any time before you place an order, but the price shown at the moment you complete checkout is the price that applies to that order.

We accept the payment methods displayed at checkout. Payment is captured at the time the order is placed, and your card details are handled directly by our PCI DSS compliant payment processor; we never see or store your full card number. We accept the major credit and debit cards and digital wallets shown at checkout, and all transactions are in USD. Placing an order is an offer to buy; a contract is formed only when we send you a shipping confirmation. We reserve the right to decline or cancel any order, including where an item was listed at an obviously incorrect price, where stock is unavailable, or where our fraud screening flags the transaction. If we cancel a paid order, we refund it in full.

The charge appears on your card or bank statement under the name of our company, Meridane Trading LLC (some issuers may show it as MERIDANE TRADING LLC or MERIDANE TRADING LLC). If you see a charge you do not recognize, please email us before opening a dispute with your bank; we can identify the order and resolve it within one business day.

5. Shipping, Returns, and Refunds

Delivery times, carriers, and shipping charges are set out in our Shipping Policy. Your right to return an item, the 30-day window, who pays return postage, and refund timing are set out in our Refund and Returns Policy. Both policies form part of these Terms.

6. Disputes and Chargebacks

If you believe a charge is wrong, duplicated, or unrecognized, or an order has not arrived, please email [email protected] with the order number or the charge date and amount before opening a dispute with your bank or card issuer. We can usually locate, refund, or replace within 2 business days, which is far faster than the chargeback process. Where a chargeback is filed on an order that was delivered as tracked, we will supply the tracking, delivery scan, and order records to the card issuer.

7. Risk and Title

Risk of loss and title to the goods pass to you when the carrier delivers the parcel to the address you provided.

8. Acceptable Use

You agree not to use the site to break any law, to introduce malware, to scrape or harvest data by automated means, to attempt to gain unauthorized access to our systems or another user’s account, to interfere with the operation of the site, or to resell our products in a way that misrepresents their origin. Our products are sold for personal, household use in the United States and are not offered for export or for resale outside the United States. We may restrict or terminate access for any breach.

9. Intellectual Property

All content on this site, including the Meridane Trading LLC name and logo, product photography, text, page layout, and graphics, is owned by us or our licensors and is protected by copyright and trademark law. You may view and print pages for your own personal, non-commercial use. You may not copy, republish, sell, or otherwise exploit any part of the site without our prior written permission.

10. User Content

If you submit a review, photograph, comment, or other content, you confirm that it is your own, that it is accurate, and that it does not infringe anyone else’s rights. You grant us a non-exclusive, royalty-free license to display and reproduce that content in connection with our store. We may remove any content that is unlawful, offensive, or misleading.

11. Disclaimers

The site is provided on an “as is” and “as available” basis. We do not warrant that the site will be uninterrupted or error free. Our products are intended for ordinary household use as described on the product page. You are responsible for following any care instructions supplied with the item, including keeping untreated wood away from prolonged moisture and direct heat.

12. Limited Warranty

Meridane Trading LLC warrants each product against defects in materials and workmanship for one (1) year from the delivery date when used for ordinary household purposes and cared for as described on the product page and care card. Natural grain, knot, and color variation, wear from normal use, damage from dishwashers, prolonged standing water, direct heat, or modification, and items sold as Final Sale or Clearance are not covered. To make a claim, email [email protected] with your order number and photos. If we confirm a defect we will, at our option, repair or replace the item or refund its purchase price, and we will pay any return shipping we require. This warranty gives you specific legal rights, and you may also have other rights that vary from state to state.

EXCEPT FOR THE LIMITED WARRANTY ABOVE, AND TO THE FULLEST EXTENT PERMITTED BY LAW, WE DISCLAIM ALL OTHER WARRANTIES, EXPRESS OR IMPLIED, INCLUDING IMPLIED WARRANTIES OF MERCHANTABILITY AND FITNESS FOR A PARTICULAR PURPOSE. SOME STATES DO NOT ALLOW LIMITATIONS ON IMPLIED WARRANTIES, SO THIS MAY NOT APPLY TO YOU.

13. Limitation of Liability

To the maximum extent permitted by law, our total liability arising out of or in connection with any order is limited to the amount you paid for that order. We are not liable for indirect, incidental, special, or consequential losses, including loss of profit or loss of use. Some states do not allow the exclusion or limitation of certain damages, so parts of this section may not apply to you. Nothing in these Terms limits any liability that cannot be limited under applicable law.

14. Indemnity

You agree to indemnify Meridane Trading LLC against any claim, loss, or expense arising from your breach of these Terms or your misuse of the site.

15. Privacy

Our handling of your personal information is described in our Privacy Policy, which forms part of these Terms.

16. Changes to These Terms

We may update these Terms from time to time. The version published on this page at the moment you place an order is the version that applies to that order. Please review this page periodically.

17. Governing Law and Disputes

These Terms are governed by the laws of the State of Oregon, United States, without regard to conflict of law rules, and the state and federal courts located in Multnomah County, Oregon have exclusive jurisdiction. Before starting any formal proceeding, please contact us so we can try to resolve the matter directly, which we are able to do in the great majority of cases.

18. Severability and Entire Agreement

If any provision of these Terms is found unenforceable, the remaining provisions continue in force. These Terms, together with our Privacy Policy, Shipping Policy, and Refund and Returns Policy, form the entire agreement between you and Meridane Trading LLC.
